​The Beirut Traders Association – BTA and Fransabank Group announced the “BTA-Fransabank Retail Index” for the third quarter 2012. By fixing the base index 100 at the fourth quarter of 2011, the “BTA-Fransabank Retail Index” is 99.97 for the third quarter of the year 2012.

The Beirut Traders Association – Fransabank Retail Index is a retail index indicative of the retail trade sector in Lebanon targeting the trade sector in general as well as its constituent Beirut traders in particular and will be announced on a quarterly basis. This Retail Index is based on scientific research on the micro and macro economies, as well as sectorial studies, which were unfortunately unavailable to date in a comprehensive manner in the market, and practically inexistent in some sectors.
